Very Large Array

The Karl Jansky Very Large Array is located about 40 miles west of Socorro, New Mexico. It is a radio astronomy facility consisting of 27 moveable radio telescope dishes. It is on the San Augustin Plain, surrounded by mountain ranges to reduce the amount of human-made radio interference. For more information, visit https://science.nrao.edu/facilities/vla/
